Salesforce Community-led events have been around for many years. I should know, because I started one of the early ones, Midwest Dreamin’, all the way back in 2011.
And yet, like many things, the global pandemic has really hit the events industry hard. In-person events have been non-existent for about a year now, and virtual events have been growing in popularity. The team that brought us Nonprofit Dreamin’ built the event as a virtual conference from day one. They chose a platform, Hopin, that helped to facilitate that well. ActiveCampaign was proud to be a Sponsor of Nonprofit Dreamin’.
Nonprofit Dreamin’ did not have a big name scheduled to deliver a keynote address. The event team decided to focus on what the attendees wanted most: learning, collaborating and connecting with others. So the event started off with a brief introduction by Melissa Hill Dees, one of the event planning team members. She covered the schedule for the days, how the Hopin platform works, and a little about how Nonprofit Dreamin’ went from an idea to reality…in just a few short months.
Nonprofit Dreamin’ featured several sessions for nonprofit Salesforce Administrators, covering topics ranging from challenges that solo admins face, to building trust in your users through data reporting and dashboards. There was a session that covered how one company made the pandemic pivot with 2000 Salesforce users working in offices and call centers to everyone working from their living rooms and kitchens — all without sacrificing the security of volunteer’s personal, medical and financial data.
Did you miss the event? No need to fret! All of the sessions, except for the networking, collaboration and conversation sessions can be found here.
